Assessing Student Learning

Week 4

ITEM #21

Google Forms

Creating an assessment using google forms was easier than I anticipated and I can see myself using this in the future for pre-assessing.

ITEM #26

Creating a Poll

I like that you can use visuals to make polls with this. I feel like the geographical map would be a really cool poll if you were teaching to that. Whether it be how many continents, or location of specific countries/states, etc.

Week 7

ITEM #39/40

Rubistar Rubric

This tool would be an awesome way to get quick, quality rubrics ready in a fraction of the time. I like the templates that are set up and the options that you have to customize. Please find the sample peer evaluation rubric I created using this tool for the first time.

ITEM #38

Google Script/Flubaroo

Another great google tool for educators. I had fun learning how to work this tool since there were a few steps to complete. First, I created a quiz using Google Forms and then installed the Flubaroo add-on in Google Sheets. I was then able to collect the data and grade the "quiz" right there in the google sheets. This is a great tool to use for assessments and simplified grading without having to grade each assessment by hand.
